More about monarchs

Here is the article we read and listened to in class:

According to the Glossary of Agronomical Terms published by the Agronomy Department at the Argentinean Southern National University,
Milkweed (Asclepias sp.) is known as Escoranilla or Oreja de Conejo in Spanish.
Here is the glossary, available for download in .pdf format.

Read more about milkweed (and monarch butterflies) at monarchwatch.org.

TOEFL Talk

Hi class!

I wanted to share with you a link to a sample test of the TOEFL.

The real TOEFL consists of other sections but this sample test is a fun practice activity.

After selecting all of the answers, click on "get score" to see how many questions you answered incorrectly.

Your teacher made 2 errors for an approximate TOEFL score of 590-620.

How well did you do? Post your results in the comment section!

Welcome to the new module!

Since many of the students who participated in last module's class blogs, 5therest.blogspot.com & 5zootycompplus.blogspot.com, will not be continuing, I thought it would be a fun idea to combine the two classes into a single class blog community.

Now you will have the opportunity to communicate and collaborate with students who are taking the same class but in a different hour!

This will also be a great place to consolidate and share information.

For me, I will be happy to post more material for reading and viewing here without worrying about repeating a duplicate post on both blogs.
